I did it myself with simple tools as I don't have access to any good ones so it's a bit dodgy....It's a navman S80. I got some 12mm mdf and cut it to fit the tissue box area and painted it as close as I could to the rest of the interior. I retained the 12V power source outlet and it still works. The wiring for the Navman is all hidden. The hole in the top left you can see in the wood is needed to access the on/off button on the navman....It looks awesome at night 'cus you can't see the wood but during the day I'm not sure...??????Please give me some honest feedback......thanks guys.... Superdan Well-Hard Bangin' Member Member 3,422 Member For: 17y 3m 24d Gender: Male Location: Perff, WA Posted 24/01/08 01:42 PM Share Posted 24/01/08 01:42 PM ok, I'll go first...I like the concept behind it, and having the initiative to go beyond just sticking the thing on the windscreen is applaudable!I personally think a bigger screen down there would look better, I sell navigation systems, and know how big the S80 is, but it looks diminished in the photos with the large dark surroundings (and we all know how blokes love to be told their's look smaller!!!) there's a few 7" systems out there that I think would look better, and have multimedia controls in them too.apart from that, the S80 is a great system, and you've made use of a box that I just seem to fill with crap anyway, so I applaud you!!!Have you considered angling the MDF upwards towards the roof a little more? or even towards yourself? The screen is actually the same size as the ICC screen but it looks small in behind the mdf.....A large screen would be a lot nicer and a professional installation done in maybe fibreglass to match the ICC would be sensational.....
