Dont get me wrong, Cruisers are great if your into offroading, but on road the TT is in a different league, they almost handle as good as a CX9 ( couldnt help myself LOL)

that's why I think they would be crap

towing 2.2T with that much torque would wear the gearbox

im not saying its not capable but I dont know if it would have a long lifespan and if it going to used as a regular tow car I wouldnt get it tuned.

the ZF is overengineered for the power it runs, the car is also rated at 2300kg towing capacity, so the box is made pretty tough - I also don't think too many people would be drag racing with a 2t boat or van on the back!

The big attraction the territory has is the availibility of LPG injections systems to keep running costs down somewhat.

Land cruiser, Patrol, even the new Ranger rover tows pretty well. If you were towing reguarlly I'd have to lean towards a new F truck, the 6.2L turbo is just a monster.

What does it cost to fit an LPG kit to a Turbo.

we have an F-250 4x4 dual cab in the used car yard at the moment $95,000

that's 10,000 more than new! they are hard to find these days

can't argue with 684Nm of torque from the factory though...

There is another dealer nearby (which we own) that has a black one - the sticker price is $110,000!

My dad tows a really big caravan with just a standard Territory and he reckons it does it with ease, they are plenty torquey, just perfect for towing. A Turbo would do it even easier.

Territory Turbos have an oil cooler to keep oil temps down just like the Typhoon, so that should help with any possible heat issues, and the ZF is engineering to handle a hell of a lot more torque than what the standard motors make, so it shouldn't be a problem at all.

that's if you buy through ford, you can buy them cheaper if you import them yourself & have it converted. I know a guy who brings them over and he was selling the top of the range modles for 1ook with about 22k's profit in them. A fully optioned F35o in the states is only $5*,*** from factory.
