im having a discussion with a mate who has a 300zx TT....he is telling me that my a/f ratios are probably all over the place because I havent had my car dynod yet but I have had my car tuned by danny (headsex) with the new sniper system. would that system accurately say what my a/f ratios are? I understand the factory pcm has a a/f meter. I just wana shut this guy up lol

One thread is enough.

Putting the car on a dyno won't change the AFR's, it will only allow them to be recorded/monitored.

As Adam said, the dyno will just show you what your AFR's are... If you get your car on a dyno nothing will change... Im sure Danny tuned it right...

The tune should be fine mate... he used a wideband AFR to tune with so its pretty much the same as on a dyno... plus the computers self correcting is pretty darn good

Hang on...

Is all this coming from what you are seeing on your Cobalt AFR gauge?

If so I'm guessing it's fluctuating between rich and lean at cruise? It's supposed to do that.

The cheaper AFR gauges are narrow band, which are a sketchy meter to go by, but they do give a general indication, but only at WOT.

A wideband is what tuners use (stuck up the tail pipe or in a bung in the front pipe) these are the only AFR meter to go by.
