Hi there guys,

I was just wondering if anyone has replaced the horn in their xr6's before? I've just purchased a new low pitch (factory replacement) horn and took a quick look at the setup (and I do mean a quick look).

Do you think I have to pull the whole front bar off? Or is it an easier job....

Thanks

Stevo

hey check this out - yes yes it's me and I'm a proud xr6turbo owner LOL!!

DAM!! That was fast. Thanks so much for that. Will replace tonight. Umm... where would I get the whole copy of that service manual LOL!!

According to the work shop manual, you should be able to remove the grill from between the headlights and then replace it.

Mite be a bit tight doing it with the bar on, even if you pull the top grille out you will still have the upper I/C hose in the way.

I completely replaced my standard ford horns with airhorns right in behind the grille.

Heaps of room for the horns and the compressor in there and I painted it all black so you cant see them.

Only hassle I had was working out how to remove the black screw things holding he grille in.

Once I worked that out it was easy.
