Has anyone done air bags to a XR6T BF Series 2? I also have heard that in some states even if you have a engineering certificate they will not pass your car roadworthy... I have also heard that it ruins the handling and makes the car massively airy on the road?

I was keen as to do it but those 2 factors were a bit of a turn off...'

I looked at price aswell, looking at about 7-9K fully done.

my mate put bags in the back of his ute, mainly so he could tow his boat without bottoming out. he has a small compressor hidden under the tray behind the cabin and it takes AGES to pump up, over a minute or so, sounds absolutely horrible when pumping up but practical.

he payed $2200 installed

You can get airbags for the rear on ebay for about $500, just to bags that sit between the chassis and spring and you pump them up at the servo or if you have a onboard compressor. They alow you to put the lowest springs in then just pump up to ride height when driving or got a load. Just look up mini turcks on the net heaps of dodgy stuff there, you could take all the leafs out cept the main one and then put the bags in cut the bump stops out and it would sit low as. Probably would trap like a bastard though.
