Was hoping someone might know of somewhere I can get a joy flight in a warbird of some description? Queensland.

I've only found two so far, Tiger Moth (bit lame) and a Yak 52.

Its for my Dad's birthday, he wanted to fly in a Spitfire, but there are only two in Australia, and one is owned by the Westfield dude I think.

Any ideas?

a Spit is a big ask...

Flew a wingeel out of Kalgoorlie once, (Hardly a warbird...) took the tail number and turned out my old man had flow the exact one in the RAAF 30 years earlier...Old mate would take anyone up for $50.

Yeah, tell me about it. You can have a restored flight ready one for 2.5million... or a 3/4 size replica for about 300k.

I saw a ME BF 109 for 2mil fully restored and came with weapons... 20mm and the 7.9mm guns.

I didn't think any genuine germans 109's remain? Only the spanish (was it Hispanio?) version built under licence?

The Spit's at Temora are both flying, two of very few in the world. Even standing still they are simply gorgeous. Though much, much larger than expected.

Lumpy :)

According to the show I was watching today there is a least one ME109 remaining, it just happens to be hanging from the Britsh war museum's roof.

Hmmmm A P51-D Mustangs go alright don't no about them in Queensland but I'm sure there would be a few.

Tiger Moth goes alright I had a full aerobatic flight in one of them when I was 12 was a thrill especially the stall turn then spiral towards the ground. LOVED IT.

I suggest the Mustang they are slightly newer and sorta stuck it up the Germans when they escorted bombers in to drop bombs on Berlin, go faster to.

Call Aerotec here in Toowoomba - they will look after you. I have their warbirds flying over my house and the edge of the range most weekends.
