Yeah I disconnected the negative and left it for about 2 minutes or so, it was getting dark and I thought it would be better to just get the car home and then muck around with it. It obviously didnt do anything, but I will try again tomorrow. The stereo now comes up with the word CODE though, so it at least reset that!

best thing to do is probably give your tuner a call first thing in the moring

let them know what's happend and take it from there.

other then that just check spark plugs and that everthing else seems normal.

ps: or even give cappa a call.

Call Jeff at C&V, since you got it from there, he will help you out, I think its warranty replacement ! I have heard about a few dud boxes that slip thru the quality control process

This exact thing happened when I had my xr6t.... With the word CODE coming up on the ICC the computer has lost all memory and fraud will have to hook it up to the WDS and reprgam the whole car the foirst time it happened to mine it took 2 days to fix the problem.. Sorry for the bad news

that's not cool. I was hoping that it wouldnt be something like this :dontknow: I guess this was a costly exercise?

If this is what has happened, the big question I have is WHY?

I will call C & V this morning and go from there.

so how did the battery trick go that usally reset the ecu with the factory tune.
