If you knew your product was good then you would be up for this test no matter how busy you are...there would be no better marketing than this.If both Plazmaman and Rapid dont attend then either will I. I already know what the results of the test will be. I can tell you now there are major differences that you all need to see.Kev

We (Trish and I - the two pronged attack) are at the moment talking to a magazine to either conduct the test themselves independently, or at least be there to oversee and report the results. I really have put a fair wack of time into this and I really want to see it go ahead. We are trying to make this happen and for it to be fair for all. Hey who asked for the poll anyway? I think it is a device intended to stir trouble. Get rid of it I say (eventhough I voted!)

Provided all of the vendors were allowed input into how the testing is to be done, having an independant source actually doing the testing should mean that if Chris, Kevin, Simon or Alex can't attend, at least they can have some peice of mind that the results can't be skewed in their absence to suit those present. How many coolers can we fit, remove and test in 1 or 2 days. Lets see how this pans out and I will get onto these guys as well. If the mag comes on board it may mean those guys will too. Would also depend on whether we would still be doing it at Nizpro and if they can offer their shop for 2 days. I don't see any issues with using Nizpro's shop, especially if it's overseen by a mag, and perhaps dyno-operated by an independent 3rd party? Danny perhaps? Ive nothing against Nizpro, and it' s great that they are happy to donate their time and property for the test, but it does leave that window open after all the testing is done and results are up.It's just like all the questions that arrise at dyno days held by shops when they run up their own customer car... we all know what I'm talking about. After all this is conducted, tested and results posted, there is no winner, no loser, no guy in the middle, just a bunch of middle aged guys standing there with their dicks swinging in the breeze. From this thread its been said that Nizpro have tested or tuned with all the coolers, Kev has tested all the coolers, plaz don't care, and neither do I now. It's a shame that we can't all just stick to making great products for our fellow XR6T lovers, because that's all I am.There are enough poeple on this forum with all the coolers installed, tuned and drving around happily, If your in the market to buy, PM these guys, read their posts and threads. The information you will get from individuals that's use the gear day in, day out will be far more valuable than from a test done which doesn't concern its self with power output, power gragh comparisons, drivability... just some figures that may or may not have any bearing on the way YOUR car will drive.I will, and always will, stand by my products and will always offer great value for money.Do your own home work, make a choice based on what suits you and makes you feel the best with your purchase... be it looks, dollars, power, brand name bragging rights, whatever, just don't get caught up in the mindless politics. There is also a fair chance that by the time this testing is done, we will all have newer, different intercooler products available--- Kev has a new cooler coming, Plaz have new gear coming, and I have new gear coming, so there are alot of great new products on the horizon from all of us.Buy what makes YOU FEEL HAPPY. Or better yet.. How well a cooler your looking to buy works? From a tuner side of things.. I get people asking me, what coolers the best.. or I can get X Y or Z cooler for XXXX price.. What do I do..Im also sick of telling people.. Dude, the cooler you just bought is a dud.. or.. upgrade your cooler, this one aint cutting it.. to get a reply with, but I just bought this one.. etc etc etcRun the car at a shop not associated with xr6 turbos.. great, I know just the place... BUT.. Do you guys forget that there is going to other people around whitnessing the testing being done? pretty hard to fluff results that way.. Regardless if you stand by your product or not, I think tests like this should go ahead.. If it doesnt, no bigger.. I have enough customers with all sorts of intercooler setups to do something there...
Adam Here since the start... Lifetime Members 10,282 Member For: 21y 8m 10d Gender: Male Location: Victoria Posted 02/03/08 07:23 AM Share Posted 02/03/08 07:23 AM I've closed this thread. It's going no where at the moment. People are in, then they're out. Now other names are being put forward. It's all over the place, with every man and his dog putting their 2 cents worth in.Now it's starting to walk a thin line with people having a shot at each other.Straughsberry, your idea is good and I'm sure the results will be very interesting.I suggest you get on the phone or send off emails to the people involved to try and come to some sort of agreement on this test. Also find a tester than everyone is happy with.Once you have all of the details sorted and everyone signed off on the date, location, testing format etc then post a thread with all of the information in it regarding this test.Thanks.
