Yeah still keen on the testing here, though Id rather see the tests done by a non XR6T shop/tuner/individual... nothing against Nizpro, but you know... its like Expensive Daewoo doing a comparison test between an XR6T, M5, RS6 and... an SS.

I hate to be the one to say it, but this is the view of alot of guys Ive spoken with.

Very true Chris because if might be done at a place like CV, but they may have a preference to PW which could been see as biased. I have NFI if they actually do but it's an example!

But nizpro, IMO, have a lot of knowledge to bring to the table & I double Simon would want to ruin his credibility by skewing the results. You can read the graphs and see what's been played with anway can't you?

I think realistically you need an XR6T tuner to be able to do the runs consistantly. You cant get a non - dyno operator to do it. Maybe you should hire the Wog!

I think that Nizpro are being very generous to provide their site and equipment/staff.

I am interested to see the outcome of this. Good luck to all concerned.

I agree. With Kev, Chris and hopefully Alex there, it's not like Nizpro are going to "try" anything. I think conducting it in a 3rd party shop has a psychological advantage but that's about it. BTW Simon, here's that code you wanted:

If (objCooler=='nizpro')

{

strTempReadout -= 5

}

else

{

strTempReadout += 5

}

Its really a shame to think people would assume nizpro would be bias in their testing and results towards their own product...

Are people forgetting that 3rd parties are going to be there also whitnessing the results?

I'm not saying anyone would be bias toward any products, Nizpro have a wealth of info and a great history with our cars, and Im sure would not bend parrameters to suit their own product.

So when we looking at?

As posted previously I would not conduct a test on another companies intercooler unless the owner was presant and they were happy with the testing procedure simply as that.

The testing will still have various outcomes depending on what the individual requires from their vehicle. An intercooler that may perform better may also be more expensive and dose not suit their budget so they may choose to purchase one that has a little less performance at a lesser price and visa versa.

Nizpro has a busy couple of months ahead of them and a training seminar on the week end of the 4-5-and 6 of April. This normally takes a week of prep leading up to it and a few days to recover after, so that week end in well and truly out.

Get a list of weekends together and we can then short list from there.

Simon

IMO in order to get this off the ground the organizer needs to set a date, even if it is a long way off. Everyone needs a date to aim for so they can get everything organized rather then people just being left in the dark and waiting for someone to do something.

This intercooler test will be extremely beneficial to all of us and could even set a precedent for future testing of parts that could in turn help eradicate all this stupid bickering between tuners and manufactures and help us decide on the best gear to get for our cars rather than the perceived best gear.

The question is, I this going to happen or have people given up?
