I just had to replace a BA XR8 rim, and ended up getting a BSA "copy" from Quickfit for $250.

the guy at quickfit reckons BSA makes fords and fpvs wheels for them, he had a bunch of other styles in there including the new FPV wheels. the wheels come with the centre cap and everything with the ford oval embossed into it but without the actual ford sticker in there, which is he says is a result of ford not wanting BSA to sell them as ford/fpv wheels.

the genuine wheel from ford was around $650!

Looked around online but couldnt find much info on whether ford rims are made by BSA. Also looked on BSA's website but couldnt really see any rims that looked like ford ones.

In regard to the 'new FPV wheels' (copies) that you said QuickFit have, did they have anything that looked like the new BF II GTP 19" rims? I've been looking everywhere for copies but havent been able to find them.

They look like this :

Thanks,

Geo, check ebay mate

thanks dude, checked ebay already but cant find anyone selling copies of that particular ford rim style. Even looked in previously sold items, nothing.. The closest I can find is the BA GT rims but they look compeletely different.. hmmmm... its the only ford rims style I'm yet to see any copies of..

maybe I should just ring one of these QuckFit places and ask them...
