Just been reading around and have noticed some people run 968 bosch injectors and other's run siemens deka's, what I want to know is, does any of them have an advantage over the other or there basically as good as each other or 1 particular brand is better but more expensive etc etc.?

Looking at purchasing some injectors and am up in the air as to what to buy.

Cheers

the 968's are 42lbs and the Siemens are 60lbs, not sure when the 968's run out of puff, I think the Siemens are good for 400-450rwkw, plus the Siemens are cheaper to :spoton:

Does anybody know how many CC's both the Siemens and the 968's are by any chance...?

Any help will be appreciated...

Depends, the dekas are rated at 60lbs at 3bar fuel pressure, and I will assume 968s at 42lbs at 3bar. Our fuel system runs 4bar.

@ 3 bar pressure

lbs/hour = cc per minute / 10.2

60 x 10.2 = 612cc (dekas)

42 x 10.2 = 428.4cc (968s)

@ 4 bar pressure

4 bar flow rate (cc) = ((square root) 4bar (psi) /3bar (psi)) x 3 bar flow rare (cc)

((square root) 58/43.5) x 612

((square root) 1.333) x 612 =

1.155 x 612 = 707cc (dekas)

1.155 x 428.4 = 495cc (968s)
