I'm happy to put up my car for the testing too, it still has the standard plenum, and a built motor to handle whatever flow the coolers give it, I can't see a workshop handing over a dyno and maybe a hoist for a whole day though...

Doesnt look like they are interested in our Fords.

You would need the help of a fabricator who could order a core from them and weld on some end tanks for you.

If it happens I'll put my cooler in for the test, but what are we talking here?

Intercooler on its own merits, hooked up with a chosen plenum, piping & intake?

It would have to be used with piping that can flow the biggest CFM, and that would be mine or plazmamans 1000hp piping.

Mine wont work as well with the smaller piping from the other kits.

If there's something I respect, as would most people I guess, is someone willing to back their product. Well done sir!

When you say it won't work as well with smaller piping, are you refering to the 2.5 inch piping commonly used? What and how drastic would that affect performance? Would it reduce flow to such an extent as to affect the cooling capabilities increasing charge air temps? Or would it increase pressure drop? Or a bit of both?

I am very intersted as I am on the market for full IC, piping and plenum kit. Possibly exhaust as well. I've talked the the "big 3" and everyone has an opinion but I'd love to see some reall tests conducted fairly by an impartial 3rd party.

I'd put up some bucks for this also. If it finally puts things into perspective and sheds some light on reality for everyone then, I'd put up $100.

I have the greatest respect for Simon at Nizpro...I used to pick his brain when I was kid with my VL turbo 15 years ago and he obviously knows his stuff.

Bar & plate core (with the correct fin configuration...not sparcely finned Ebay stuff) is the best cooler you can buy. I see he also recommends a rigid plenum (cast or billet...not sheet) for best results.

My stage 3 cooler is around the corner.

Kev

Please explain why the bar and plate is better than a fin and tube . Explain what you correct fin spacing is , and we really want to here this one ....... why is cast or billet plenum better than a sheet alloy style ??

Come on champ , lets here it ......
