Hey fools. :spoton:

I'm signing my R Spec contract tomorrow then driving it out the gate.

They're telling me that FPV doesn't qualify for a fleet discount.

Does anyone know if this is true?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys n gals

P.S. I'm gonna have great difficulty sleeping tonight! :omg:

BS. The dealer can discount as low as his P&L allows. I have purchased 2 FPVs and you would be staggered as to how low they will go. Bare in mind that your trade will have an impact on the net changeover cost

I priced a BF GT-P right after the MKII release and it was substancially lower than RRP. They said they could do much with a fleet discount but they certainly done me an awsome deal with no trade in.

No, FPV do not give the dealer a fleet discount, some salesman wil say they are giving you a fleet discount, when really they are only giving you more of the margin that is in the car - any average joe can get the same deal if they try hard enough.

The reason the rice can drop so much is because they have a Luxury Car Tax component, and this is calculated from 25% of any amount over $57,009 including GST, so whatever they intend to discount, 25% comes off as well, doesn't cost them anything cos its going to the government anyway, and it saves you money!

So in answer to your question - NO - enjoy your new car mate!

As stated ( Senna we have had this dialogue before) , you're correct in saying that FPV do not provide official fleet discount, though this may change ahead of Orion. The dealer however can do what ever they like in terms of managing the dealership's books. There are bargains to be had if you know where to go and how to play the game. :spoton:

It's not registered. He said if it was registered then it would be a Demo and I woulda got the same deal that Rob E got for his R Spec.

Ah well. They want $62,266 onroad.

It says on the contract 'Discount' as $5128.52. Spose it's better than nothing.

I'll post a pic of my new and old beasts together tomorrow.

Cheers!
