Hey people. Ive had my XR6T for about 9 months now (6months with the flash tuner). I love my car and it goes like the clappers and I care for it a lot but after reading a few threads on the Generic Capa tunes I'm getting a little worried on how unhealthy my car could be running. My 03 BA XR6T 4sp has done 18000k's. I have got a Herrod stainless steel twin 2.5" cat back exhaust, Capa larger front mount intercooler, K&N panel filter with SS inductions CAI. When I run the 8psi tune(95octane) I'm running 11-12 psi and when I'm run the 10psi (98octane) I'm getting 13-15psi depending on if it hot or cool. Is this normal for what mods I've got. I haven't had it checked out by a tuner becausw there really isn't anywhere nearby that can help me. Closest place is Townsville QLD but I haven't heard good things so my next options are cairns or Mackay. So I will be traveling to cairns next month to get this sorted and get my valve springs upgraded. I'm just curious am I just paranoid or just lucky, any thoughts appreciated.

my car is stock but it did the same thing with the geniric tunes. Its called overboost and its not real healthy. I've flash mine back to stock til I can get a custom tune. Best to get it on a dyno if ya can.

Someone more technical might be along shorthly to explained it better.

Hope this helps a bit.

mine did the same, with twin 2.5" exhaust, wog cooler and valve springs done... the 8psi tune used to hit 14psi and the 10psi tune hit 16psi, so I flashed it back to stock until I got a custom tune done.

I'd do the same and flash it back to stock. when you're in comming up to cairns give Cape York Automotive a call (sorry havent got their number atm) they'll be able to help ya out.

Try and chase down Blupower, he has a pretty good reputation, and I believe he is up your neck of the woods.

I think KS means Blueboost. He is located in Mackay. Collinsville Automotive if my memory serves me correctly
