Tim Mathews Member 3 Member For: 17y 29d Posted 14/01/08 04:27 AM Share Posted 14/01/08 04:27 AM I have a 2004 Mk11 xr6t which has done 88,000km. For the las couple of months the car has been shuddering at times. I can never pick when it is going to happen or what brings it out, but it becomes quite violent at times. It is a very quick vibration shudder. I have had a wheel alignment done, had new tyres put on and changed the front break pads and rotors. I took it to Ford three times and they didn't figure out what it was (didn't seem to try very hard really) and to two other mechanics. If anyone has had a similar experience I would greatly appreciate your feedback. Thanks

If so then welcome to the wonderful world of the Ford Falcon. Get use to it mate cause its a bloody pain in the arse. I put on new rotars and pads, got rid of the shudder but now under extreme braking there is massive clunks instead. Tim Mathews Member 3 Member For: 17y 29d Posted 14/01/08 05:07 AM Author Share Posted 14/01/08 05:07 AM Gee that has to piss you off! Mine isn't really a break shudder though. It comes about at intervals usally after driving about 10min and will just start shuddering as I drive. My breaks don't usually shudder at all but when the shuddering starts and I apply the breaks then there is a break shudder. it may keep going for 5-10min who knows and then it will vanish like it was never there. And yes it is a real pain in the arse.

Get them to check the the disks and pads while there at it.

I also recently put on new tyres but every now and then the steering wobbles pretty bad once I get off the brake pedal doing anything between 60kph and 100kph, but then it may not happen for a few days.It is frustrating and probably unsafe, need to get this looked into soon.JS
