Hey all.

On boxing day I was driving around really bored so I thought.... you know what.... I think I might just plough into the back of this car in front of me. (note sarcasm)

Not much damage but ill need to replace my typhoon front and my bonnet is dented. That means ill have to repaint the guards as well.

Ive been looking on ebay and found the bulge only that gets glued to the stock metal bonnet.

Anybody know if these are any good. Ugly seams etc??? Sounds dodge to me but if the end product is ok??? Im repainting anyway so itll only cost me $130....

Cheers lads

Yeah it was my own stupid fault. Ive done the exact same thing at the exact same intersection before!

Looking for a gap in traffic over your right shoulder, person in front goes, then at last minute decides not to. Cant look in two places at once..... crunch. Ah well.. it was only a love tap. Such is life.

Sorry to hear about the front end, but with the bulge on a metal bonnet becareful as I have seen some very dodgy jobs when done this way, e.g the lines of the mould showing up after time, and also the bulge looks to high up etc.

better off getting the full bonnet IMO.

But then again if its done right it could look ok :hammerhead:

My Bonnet is done by Ron Klik at Phat Custom Body Kits from Dandenong, who did a magnificent job who I found from ebay.

He attached the fibreglass bulge to my original metal bonnet and it came up looking very genuine. So try him as he also did my front and rear bar's from which I am also very happy with.

cheers,

San.

Yeah ron at Phat customs did my bar and bonnet too, great products but not the best work, e.g sht paint job on the bonnet, bumper dosnt line up 100% and he took for ever to do the job.

But in saying that his kits are good glass, so idd buy it from him then get it done some where else.

Yeah it was that mob I was looking at on ebay. I didnt realise that yours was done this way. Looks sweet. Id love to see it in person.

Is there a hole cut in your bonnet for the scoop? How much if you dont mind me asking. Now you have me thinking....

Id probably only get him to attach and prime and then get my local mob to do the painting.

Yes he did cut a hole in my bonnet and yes I would look at getting it painted and probably re-primed elsewhere if required as I wasn't totally satisfied with his work.

He does take forever to finish the job but if you give him enough time like I did, he will make sure it comes out looking good.

From memory the whole bonnet job cost me close to 1k.

All the best champ.
