coupeboy351 Member 55 Member For: 17y 5m 10d Posted 13/01/08 01:49 AM Share Posted 13/01/08 01:49 AM (edited) I have just got back from driving my xr6t around Aus, 10000km's in two weeks and never had a problem, so I booked the car into Range ford to have a 75000 service and the service manager calls me and says that the bonnet latch is loose so I should replace it, I explaned that I check my oil and fluids often and have no problem with the latch.so I pick the car up and they have ripped the whole latch out of the fuse box I rung him up and said WTF, he said well my machanic's know that their weak so they are really gentle so it is my problem and now the fuse box needs replacing as well. $275 to fix something that was fine before they touched itThis is the last time that range ford will see any of my money as I have bought 2 cars off them and would have kept my servicing with them, it will cost them alot more then fixing what they broke!!and of course it ran out of warranty 3 weeks ago Edited 13/01/08 10:05 PM by Dagabond

I've only gone to Ford to have warranty stuff.Find a mechanic near you. SOmetimes the small workshops are the best, and get your car done there.Ring Ford Customer Care and report this mater to them. Just not by my dealer.

They tried the same thing on me once, drop the car in for a warranty issue, got it back and next morning couldn't open the bonnet, bonnet release broken, fu3ked if I was paying for it, one of their mechanic's broke it but sure enough they tried to deny it saying wear and tear etc, fu3kin bull sh*t, sh*tty parts should have been manufactured better in the first place, let alone them braking it and then trying to make me PAY for it FU#K THAT!. They finally covered it when I near tore em a new one.
coupeboy351 Member 55 Member For: 17y 5m 10d Posted 13/01/08 12:12 PM Author Share Posted 13/01/08 12:12 PM they broke both the latch and the fuse box and fixed neither, on the phone before I picked it up they said it was loose. When we picked it up the misses drove it to a nearby shopping centre where I met her and I thought I'd make sure I still had my good air filter in it and that's when I found my bonnet latch ripped out of the dash and the little lever missing, then I called them and that's when he blamed me and said due to fords latch being weak I have to pay for it and the fuse box. Its unacceptable, don't stand for it.

We went to Range Ford to look at the new Mondeo T as Titan's didn't have one and I was showing the better half what they look like in the flesh as we have 1 on order from Titan's due in May.We told the salesman we have 1 on order from Titan's and he go's why didn't you buy it from us and the better half say's 7 years ago she went into Range Ford to buy the AU xr6 and the used car bloke gave her a hard time and said she couldn't afford one blah blah blah he was just a fat pig so she told him where to go and went and got her car and drove back there with it and told him where to stick his car's.The rep go's we have new management now and she say's too bad once you have a bad name it sticks like sh*te to a blanket and our family has since bought 6 cars from titan's over 7 years and I send all my mates there. Basically Range Ford suck
