I have a question.

if a tuner lost my factory tune and my f slot no longer loads how can I get a factory tune back in the box and back into the car. is it just a case of the tuner copying a nother factory tune and pasting it back in or is there more to it than that.

ps this is not me who lost my f slot its a good firend of mine.

A tuner can not load tunes into the flash box 'F' position at all or override the tune that is in that spot.

they could load a factory stock tune back into the car, but would involve another blank tuner box which would then be locked to that car, you would end up with 2 boxes and one would be left useless and the good one would have a performance tune as the F spot.

Your story almost sounds like someone has bought a 2nd hand box without it flashing the car back to stock, if that's the case the tuner is worthless

This is not a tuner hunt so lets not start one. But continually confounds me is these small issues, and it always seem to be the owner or in this case friend of owner who is trying to sort out the issue. I have no idea how this could have happened, then again I am a mechanical spastic, but why is the tuner not on here asking for assitence and learning so he/she can produce a better service?

so what was done to loose the factory tune? how many times has the box been used?

From my understanding when you load you generic tune the first thing the flasher does is save your factory tune on box then loads the selected file.

Are you sure you followed the load sequence correctly?
