I think the overboost protection will kick in before you get too much more power out of her..

manual boost controllers dont seem to work on these cars.. by all means give it a go, you may even get a coupla psi outta it!

A couple of things scare me in your post "generic tune" and "manual boost control". My advice, don't touch it, leave this to a professional. You will risk leaning it out and causing all sorts of problems I.e. engine failure. If you are contemplating fitting a blead valve style boost control then don't.

Go and spend $500 and get a custom tune.

my understanding was manual boost controllers (I.e. older style ones on skylines etc) don't work on BA-BF's as the computer just compensates and tries to keep boost at the level it "should be".

eBoost2 is a product people using, but I am not familiar with it.

I agree dont play with it, however any type of boost controller will work bleed valve or electronic as long as u have the edit.

mines set to a max level and I can adjust down from that point.

it is best to get a tuner to set up the boost controller on the dyno along with the edit so they work together, in saying that you may as well just get a custom tune and forget the ebc cos the standard ford boost controller works well.
