Where are you going mount a 4lt surge tank?

Kev

Could do what bcl is doing, mount it in the boot up by the rear seats, not ideal though if you value boot space.

Problem is no matter what you do having a surge tank in the boot will stink of fuel.

Hey Kev,

Just something I was thinking about a while back, what about a surge tank with its own pump, within the standard fuel tank? Is that doable? Principal of operation would be the same, but everything would be contained within a custom/modified fuel tank, with a distinctly factory look from the outside.

AFAIK the Nizpro one is more of a custom high performance replacement of the factory fuel tank pump system, adding foam block baffles as well, to prevent fuel rushing away from the pickup etc.

I found a thread on it here (RRP $1496 at the time. Yikes.):

As an alternative, I think a seperate surge tank with its own pump, all within the fuel tank itself, would be an awesome way to go.

talk to JP300 about his Nizpro surge tank.. he mentioned the other day at the drags that he was getting fuel surge with it at 3/4 tank!! now that's not exactly something you want when you spend $1500 to prevent it.

I'd be getting the pressure tested mate, this sounds very unsafe.

How old is the filter? Could be clogging up

Your intake pump could be having issues.

Get the boys to look at it befor damage occurs.
