Yesterday we saw a nice Blue T with ( from what I could see ) a Niz cooler, plenum, upsized turbo, exhaust manifold, external gate, ect... all the gear to go over the 400 mark with ease.

So later on in the dyno hall we see it come onto the rollers, and pull off a couple of sub 300HP runs...

Not sure about what was going on as it didnt pull anything like, even a stocker... maybe he accidently flashed it to stock??

The old boys on the mic were saying there you go, that's an XR6 turbo, not a bad effort, the owner is happy with that result, blah blah blah... seemed alittle odd

Anyone else see this effort? or know what the story is?

Oh and they ran out of cars to dyno mid show... there was some heckling and general un happy campers with nothing to see except for two empty dyno cells...

wow, that's pretty lame, both the car and the lack of competitors!

Apparently the cops are being extremely strict on the cars entering the ACT this year, but what else is new!

Yeah the cops were pulling cars into a truck stop on the freeway... who knows what they were doing and how they were going about it, but we saw a few cars just drive in and a stack of cars sitting in there.

Late in the day there were alot of guys marching around in a very mob chanting.

Looks like poeple have been scared away this year...

EPA testing for exhaust noise (no gas test), and general defect station. Guy on supraforums got done but they did the test at 5100rpm when it should of been done a fair bit lower.

I remember my GF's dad told me about a mate of his who went down with a big block cortina on a trailer, it had a full interior, but no rego as it sucked NOS and ran mini tubs and front runners

The cops pulled him over and made him get the car off the trailer, they then proceeded to give him a huge defect list for the cortina, he took them to court about it and the case was dismissed in his favour, but the fact that they basically baited him into putting the car on the road, just so they could fine him is ridiculous!

Same story on supraforums, guys got sh*ts with previous years, so trailer there Walkinshaw down, cops ask to weigh the trailer sans car, soon as its off the trailer slap a defect notice on it.
