I don't know why, but my car doesn't "step out" in a major way, I mean, the car has plenty of power, that's been proven on the street, and once on full boost in 1st it just spins, 2nd is a little bit of spinnage, but it never "steps out" - maybe the way the tune is, maybe cos I run low tyre pressure (probably this)

My T is a ute so im guessing alot less wieght over the rears helps it "step out". I took a mate out for his first drive in a xr6t yesterday, he owns a modded wrx (which I ate consistantly), and his words were "it just crab walks all the time, I should have got one of these" as we fishtailed at 90k/h.

Before I bought my T I had a VP 5ltr manual, I thought that was quick. I took the T for a spin and as soon as that turbo spooled up I was sold. straight back to the dealership to sign the papers

I remember my first test drive a BFII ute. I remember dropping the accelerator in. Dam my heart paused and then I was sold! :spoton:

You get use to the power, then you get a taste of a custom tune, and the smile cames back everytime!

I took mine for a quick lap around the block then bought it and on my way home I thought lets try this baby out, I turned the traction control off and floored it from the lights (04 mII auto) and I thought ok not bad then looked back and there were about 70m of black strips behind me and I loved it till I put new tyres on and no longer get that wheel spin but it handles much better. But I will get a tune and other parts to get my wheel spin back!!

RSK what side of town do you live on, I have 6 speed manual with 260 rwkw and maybe able to take you for a spin.

I found much the same with the auto's, they are that smooth that the box soaks some of the seat of the pants feeling.

When I wanted a new car I was only looking for an XR6 manual. The only manual I could find was the T so I took it for a drive, BIG mistake, SOLD on the spot but the car I drove was too much so had to do some driving around to find one I wanted and could afford.

As has been said feel slow until you look at the speedo.

My father in law took it for a drive and said it ain't that quick at which I replied to look at the speedo. He nearly sh!t himself!

RSK I live in Sydney but come from Adelaide (Blakeview) if I'm in the area I will gladly take you for a ride in my car!

My car will fry the tyres 1,2 and 3! On a trip back to Adelaide on my mates private road I over took 2 semi trailers in a row next thing I was doing 200!

The thing accelerated that hard I didnt realise

Cheers mate. I work in the city, and live 20 minutes north of it. Let me know if you're in town sometime =)

Sounds crazy and thanks for the offer. Let me know if you drive back down here =)

I just want a car damnit! All dealer cars seem overpriced and/or dodgey, and nothing seems to be comming up privatly. =( My last resort is to buy interstate, but I'm unsure of whether to take that route.

No worries, I too work in the city and usually drive in once a week or so and will sing out when I do. Otherwise I am at Walkley Heights so I may not be too far from your joint.
