that's the thing. The Turbo doesn't feel fast but it is.

The 8's just have the pull from down low so it seems faster.

If you want the sound go the 8.

I reckon go for a passenger ride in a Edited T and see if you like that as these things really haul arse for little extra $$$.

Well I'm definitly not willing to write the T off yet. The actual roads taken today were more "drivers" roads, lots of twisty stuff, and alot of places where I could put the foot down and not worry about a low speed limit.

Another observation: The T felt alot more planted and balanced. The 8 felt like the rears were on ice. Very unbalanced, hold onto dear life rollercoaster like. Awesome. If traction control wasn't enabled, I would hate to think what would have happened lol.

Oh and speaking of the awesome sound, I really wonder how beasty/thunderous the T is with the centre muffler removed. Or does it just sound like another one of those farty rice canons?

You really do have a feel for the character of the XR6T. Now you have to decide what pushes your buttons.

The XR6T oozes ability and refinement and forgoes drama. There is little to generate the sensation of speed, but that is rather the point of the car, well some think it is.

Enjoy your shopping.

Regards,

aa

XR8 lollll

Mate you are CRAZY.

When I was looking for my new car, I drove both the XR8 and the Turbo, And I can tell you the T sh*tS all over it for performance, you only buy the XR8 for the sound.

And about this stepping out, it all depends on the tune and when boost comes on/ how agressive etc blah blah, my tune for instance is insane, I can light it up to 4th if I stall it up

Buttt, I don't see the point, screw going through 19's every month!, and the fact that it's dangerous!..

Get the T and buy the edit flash box, you'll never look back from there :spoton:

thought I'd had my 2 cents

this is my first turbo car and after my first test drive I couldn't keep the smile of my face. imo they the power feels different to the 8's but still way enjoyable.

Mines still stock but still feels fast to me cause I drive a 2.6L bravo for work everyday......can't wait for the weekends.

And some money to start modding

Maybe the T you took for a drive only had normal unleaded in the tank. Most dealers would only use that.. I brought my car that way. Felt a little sluggish to the AU XR8 I was trading in. But after filling with premium....and 400kms back home. :) I know it made a big diff on mine T.
