It's a tad underpowered,

4.7 twin OHC, 5speed auto constant AWD

170Kw 410Nm, good for towing and drinking vast quantities of fuel.

cruise control, 6stacker CD duel batteries and center diff lock.

supercharging works well, but apparently the rods resemble boiled spaghetti

and tend to exit the block through the side if you go over board.

Hmm...wonder if theres an adapter plate to put a boss in?

Ha! they use about the same amount of fuel though.

the EVO is just about relegated to track tays only now.

Thankfully the cruiser is my company car so fuel is pre-tax.

The auto's a bit wishy-washy for my taste and at +130 tends to kick down abit much,

there's some sorrt of computer jiggery-pokery with the torque converter going on too....

a shift-kit could be in order....

would have loved a 200 series but the ministeress of finance veto'd that one.

It'd be slightly more practical up there at this time of the year as well I guess.

Have you got the lift kit and the mack exhaust ready to go on? Couple of rum pig stickers and some cat mudflaps? :yikes:

Hey sixfan I have a customer that has two of these and they are both turbo charged by safari and they are great they are ok to run at 6 psi but no more.

Both his have done over 150,000 km's no troubles I also fitted lpg to them so now they are cheap to run aswell.

His are 2002 models.
