Hi all,

I have just bought a XR6 Turbo BF MII Update (Build Date Nov 07)

And the dumb ass at the dealership put tire black on the tires (Nice & thick), I drove home to find my new beast with nice leapord brown/black spots all over my new paint work & white stripping. I have used the Miguries three step process -

1. Paint cleaner

2. Polish

3. Wax

I have also used Quick detailer, but the stains are still there. What can I use that wont damage my paint work or stickers?

Take it back and tell them to fix it.

Give them a chance to redeem themselves as they might not know this happens if people dont tell them.

I would be pissed though.

After many years dealing with Expensive Daewoo and toyota dealerships, I have found a level headed approach, yet remembering not to give them a single inch... works very nicely... Bet ya ten bucks it will be some young apprentice that did it and yes, he already knows he did it and thought you wouldn't see it !!

Thanks

I went to Ford & pointed out some of the little defects eg-

1. Loose Cigie lighter

2. Stiching on leather

3. Scratch on console

4. The tire blake issue

Thay have just told me to note down any deffects I might find and write them down in the warranty book. Once I have reached 3,000 kms (now at 1,173 kms) I have my first free service or check up and at that point thay will fix the problems.

I was just wandering....... & I said this to him by the time I do 3,000 kms you can just turnaround & say na we dont cover that that's wear & tear or something like that he said that it would be all fixed. So I hope the the dealership will fix all the little problems without ant more money leaving my pocket! :stirthepot:

That's the risk you have to take I guess - if you can handle the waste of time I'd take it in beforehand :stirthepot:

take it there today/tomorrow... don't wait or they will just say "oops sorry"
