Mods That Dont Void Warranty

I have just puchased a new XRB Turbo BF MKII Update,

I wanted to know how far I can go before voiding my warranty?

In a nutshell nowhere....anything non-geniune you add/change will render your warranty useless on anything that's related.

I.e. if you're talking engine mods then Ford will almost certainly reject warranty work on engine & driveline issues.

And to the nuthouse.

How about some nice XR floor mats or scuff guards..

lol those are about the extent of mods that ford will allow, anything power related, they will void any engine driveline warranty work, even if it doesnt seem related, its an out clause.

What about if he just did the edit and when he goes into ford for warranty work put factory program back in.

I've done this in the past with no dramas but mine is BA11 (BF may be diferent).

ALF05T I have considered doing this, but just wondering if thay would be able to tell (Ford Co) if you have played around with the ECU?

Jury is out on that one, has been confirmed and denied countless times.

Bottom line is you play you pay.....why should they warrant the vehicle to do more than what they originally sell it as?

wheels are generally ok, if they are the same size, alot of dealers will let you get away with a cat back exhaust, but that's not really necessary until you want decent power, apart from that as the guys said - not much!

Warranty claims are a case by case situation, if the problem you have is caused by the modification you have done, then this will void the warranty, if it's not related you should be ok
