Record-breaking sales of the unbelievable Falcon ute saw Ford continue its impressive double-digit sales growth in 2003.

Ford sold 2000 Falcon utes in June, keeping on track to set a new all-time sales record for the 2003 year, following on from record years in 2001 and 2002.

Sales of Falcon passenger vehicles also surged in June, with 6923 units sold – an increase of 46% over the same month last year.

Combined Falcon passenger and commercial sales of 8923 units were the highest since December 1995.

The Falcon XR range continues to break records, with 1665 units sold, an increase of 353.7% on last June.

And Ford’s European hatch, the Focus, set a new sales benchmark with 1347 units.

Overall, Ford sold 12,258 units in June – its best June result since 1999 and 2236 units (22.3%) up on June 2002.

Passenger vehicle sales were up 36.7% on June 2002.

In the first six months of this year, Falcon sales are up 47.6% and Ford sales are up 17.4% on the same period last year.

Ford’s Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Bruce McDonald, said the June sales result confirmed a Blue Oval revival that was mirrored on the racetrack.

“The old motorsport adage is win on Sunday, sell on Monday.

“With Marcos Ambrose leading the charge, Ford is winning on Sunday, and these figures show we’re also selling on Monday,” he said.

“Falcon Ute, Falcon XR and Focus all had record months in June and our order books are looking very healthy for July,” he said.

“And with the all-wheel-drive Territory on the horizon, Ford’s future is looking bright,” he said.

Pity they can't build them in a reasonable time-frame.

Sorry Ken I don't think Ford were expecting a 357% increase in sales. But don't worry August will be here soon and we probably won't hear a peep out of you. :D

Betchya your feeling like a mongrel dog who's just seen a brand new pair of Levis walk by.

Would like to know the Red Lion's figures.

Spoke to Ford Dealer this morning...and he said if you order a "T" today expect delivery in February!!!!!! I still can't believe that that Ford expects people to wait that long....then again it will be 5 months for me....

skanka......."Them's fighting words"....lol.

Hey, a lot of you played the 'waiting game'? Do you regret your decision to wait? Do you love your turbo's?

WELL???

357%, that's impressive, well done to FORD. First off I couldn't understand waiting 3 months for our quaint little Phantom NA but now......WOW!!! With an unbelievable jump in popularity thanks to the 'make or brake' BA, you have to expect a lengthy wait, especially for the 'T'!!!

Ken, it's not that far away. It will make the experience all that more enjoyable when that immortal day arrives where you barrel the sales rep over and snatch the keys off him and drive away in your new baby.

"One Key to Rule All".

As I have stated before Ed...etc; If I had known how good this car was while I was waiting, the wait would have been agony.

But now that I have got it, nah the wait was a doddle :D

It's the best car I have ever had, I will never regret buying him.

I still can't wipe the grin off my face when I drive it.

It's luxurious, stylish, and bloody fast, what isn't there to love about it ? :)
