Anyway went back to ford apparently the oil temp sender has the wrong setting on it . They punch in the right code in at first service bugger that I went there and there and looking at the log book services are at 15000km I will be dropping the oil and filter on mine atleast every 5000km DONT FORGET GUYS IT IS A TURBO.... It's a modern turbo running very low boost with higher grade oil being used than in the stock BAs.
Guest exr6 Guests Posted 23/12/02 02:46 AM Share Posted 23/12/02 02:46 AM I think it has got something to do with the temp. settings that put the car into limp home mode. But the turbo runs hotter than an NA XR, therefore Ford are re-setting the temp cut-out up a few degrees to eliminate this problem
