Watched Control ( on Foxtel ) last night.

The movie is a biographical film shot in black & white about the enigmatic lead singer and writer

of Joy Division - Ian Curtis.

Really good movie if you like late 70's indie music culture. Hats off to Sam Riley( formerly of the band 10 000 things) who played the

part of Curtis to perfection. His stage presence and singing a very good mirror of the original. The music was pretty good as well.

Buffers gives it an 8.5 for its genre

Had this marked on my calendar to watch for over a month....and I forgot about it....

Have to wait for one of the 1500 repeats I guess...

Bit of trivial trivia I just picked up on...

There was a special on 'The Band' on MAX just now and noticed the drummer Levon Helm is the old gun specialist guy that Mark Wahlberg visits in The Shooter...

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0375629/

....said it was trivial...

Grand Prix. I`d seen it dozens of times on telly. I bought the DVD on a whim, stuck it in the player and watched in on me SOny Bravia 40..

Holy crap.. I kept saying " but this was made in 1966! " The detail, is unbeleivable.

Its a time capsule, all the old cars and rediculous scant regard to safety.

I`d LOVE ( not just like ) to see this in a cinema, it`d be just too good.
