Hi All, Merry Xmas and happy New Year,

I'm in the market for some new tyres and have read with interest re the Marangoni Mythos tyres from Italy. Apparently they won the latest tyre test from Motor Magazine. As yet I've been unable to find the test posted anywhere and I'm not sure which edition it was in so tracking it down has been a bit painful.

If anyone is able to post up the said results I'd be most appreciative.

Also if anyone knows who stocks them in Qld and preferably the Gold Coast that would be great as well.

Thanx in advance.

Big AL

December issue.

In the straight line brake tests they placed 3rd best in the dry braking test and last in the wet braking test.

In the dry handling test they placed 4th and in the lateral G-force test they placed 5th.

The comment is...

"These had a tonne of grip. They were sharp, balanced: really nice. In fact, they were so confidence-inspiring that you really didn't mind having a hot go with them, because they'd hang in there. They were also great on change of direction and super stable under brakes. I like them a lot."

Overall results are...

1st: Marangoni Mythos

2nd: Bridgestone Potenza

3rd: Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-03

4th: Falken FK 452

5th: Dunlop SP Sport Maxx

6th: Maxxis MA-Z1 Victra

All tyres tested were 245/45 ZR18

I have 245/35/19's & 275/30/19's on my T, went for a run to Jenolan Caves in the wet, awesome grip, standard 17's would spin up as soon as the car made boost in second. These flat to the floor coming out of tight second gear corners up hill no wheel spin at all.

They sound great. The more I hear of these tyres the more I want to try and track them down. Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for those sizes?

Was with wheel package so not sure how accurate prices are, but $300 per 275/30/19 & $250 per 245/35/19

Great price, it's what I'm hoping to get them for up here.
