Ive started the long road to 300 plus (rwkw) and have built a very nice exhaust system, (twin 2 1/2 inch) with a couple of special ingredients... The only thing I don't have is the 4' dump pipe to replce the stock system. Ive rang around and priced them up, for what I'm after I'm being told $470 to over $500. SAY WHAT? How can a small peice of metal cost so much when Ive built an amazing exchaust for the same price...whats the go? Are ther only a handful of people that have the science to make them and that's why they are so expensive? Or is it just me!!! Has anyone else gasped at the price for these things? And does anyone know where to find a well priced one? Thanks Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/41149-4-dump-pipes-costs/ Share on other sites

But yes, I am surprised by the prices as well. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/41149-4-dump-pipes-costs/#findComment-614109 Share on other sites

This usually ends up in an outsource situation, so the first shop charges the second shop X amount, then the second shop puts their mark up on it and charges you that, if you aren't going far over 300, just use the standard one, I am. Or you could go for a split 3.5" dump with separate wastegate pipe, these are quite good for response too Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/41149-4-dump-pipes-costs/#findComment-614110 Share on other sites

no turbo Member 206 Member For: 19y 6m 11d Posted 27/12/07 09:58 AM Share Posted 27/12/07 09:58 AM I made 10 back in 2006 and we sold them for $485 each with an extra flange, I think $450 is a a good deal considering the labour that goes into them .heres the old link.quality 4 inch dumps Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/41149-4-dump-pipes-costs/#findComment-614194 Share on other sites
