I WAS LOOKING THE OTHER DAY AT MY BARRAS TURBO AND sh*t IT IS BIG IT IS A 0.5 COMPRESSOR IN OTHER WORDS IT IS GOOD FOR AT LEAST 25 POUNDS OF BOOST . WHAT WAS FORD THINKING OR WHAT ARE THEY THINKING . WITH A GOOD BOOST CONTROLLER THIS BABY IS GONNA SCREAM the compression is right but I guess the rods and springs wont hold up for that type of boost.

I have already ordered my HKS electric boost controller I have an autometer gauge in there already that says 35psi

but never goes past 6psi .I reckon this baby when boosted to12 psi which is nothing special but enough for the motor to still be safe and with enough fuel pressure there . this baby will go 350kw easy with the same exhuast and it is nothing that is visible and still looks standard what about that guys...

Keep your hands up on the table where we can see them...

The compression is way too high for 12psi boost and the ECU will not supply fuel once it detects more than 6.5 (I think) psi.

Sounds like your car is going to be a ricer mobile :) I would hate to ruin the interior of my car with gauges and the like.

A FUEL CUT DEFENDER BYPASSES THE ECU FUEL SYSTEM .IT VIRTUALLY IS ANOTHER COMPUTER RUNNING your FUEL SYSTEM AVAILABLE FROM TURBO SMART IF ANYONE HAS DONE MODS TO TURBOS BY UPDATING THE WHOLE COMPUTER SYSTEM HAVE PROBABLY RUN INTO IDLING AND TUNING PROBLEMS BUT THIS SYSTEM WORKS TOGETHER WITH your STANDARD COMPUTER

Sorry about the caps didnt notice . it is called a fuel cut defender from turbo smart it is an electronic fuel regulator that is operated with a solenoid so it wired thru the standard computer. as boost is increased the compression in the motor also increases this sets the right fuel pressures for your head chamber to avoid detonation

PSI40L> Is it just a fuel pressure regulator or does it also remap the timing and add additional fuel according to boost pressure? If it doesn't do all these things it will not stop detonation in the 4.0 litre turbo with standard compression if you increase boost over about 7 psi.

so turbo6man what do you think the full potential is of the xr6t with the standard ecu?

(without cracking the engine open to reduce comp ratio and increaseing boost)

are we looking around the 260-270 kw mark with exhaust and intake mods?
