Without being there to test stuff I can't offer anymore help I'm afraid.

Do you have a wiring diagram?

Without one you are screwed.

Have you tried to reset the emergency fuel cutoff reset ?

It is behind the passenger footwell kick panel AFAIK

It is worth a try as we are only guessing until more diags are done.

I would also check more around the HT cables as a multi meter will not pickup a HT issue

Yep, just tried the emergency fuel cutoff switch, no good...

What do you mean by HT cables?

Yep, well the pump still kicks over if fuel relay is out yeh (I could be wrong)? we have tried that.

And as for the scan tool.. its was useless.. the ute wouldn't allow the scan tool to read any of the modules.. just kept coming up error.. The racv guy said (remember it is a racv guy he didn't know very much) that all the utes modules run on a serial bus, and if one of the modules wasn't communicating with the rest it would lock it up and not alow power to get through. Doesn't make sense to me why the EEC Relay is buzzing its head off.

Anyone wanna buy a ford ute?

OK... now I am spun out...

While I was looking on the forum to see if anyone else had had the same problem, I left the battery out and the fuse/relay box apart.

I went back out side to put windows up in the ute, so I hooked battery up and tuned key and the pump primed... So I though it would give it a try.. and what do ya know.. started straight up.. so after a few seconds I turned it off and started it back up... sweet its going.. then I did it a third time.. sweet.. its works again.. then I went for the lucky number 4th time and all I get is F*#ken relay BUZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Any ideas now guys?

My opinion is a faulty module or something.. hope someone can shed more light..

Cheers

BB

You need to start isolating systems.

Unplug the auto and see if that changes anything.

umm.. Under battery pipe was changed?... Forgive me if I'm wrong.. But there's a bunch of ground wires that get screwed down to the body where you bolt the under battery pipe down!!

My guess is that's half your problem, put the ground wire under neather the underbattery pipe rather than ontop..
