I agree totally with what you said Mat. Obviously with what you spend on a car you more than likely lose. I was only thinking that seeing my front bumper had to come off for a re-spray, why not put on a new cooler? I was told it could give me a about 25kw gain without a re-tune and it was a simple bolt off bolt on procedure. I thought why not and I'd ask the public's opinion. Thanks for the advice and do you have a tip of whether black or red for the cas?

My general tip is always red BUT the cas always reminds me of my cars. I spend a lot but dont see much of it back :dontknow:

If the bumper has to come off why not chuck a PW stage1 kit on it I suppose. If it cools the air down its gotta be a good thing (especially with the weather we having now) but to get decent power you'll need a couple of other things. If you stick with the simple, reliable and well proven mods you've just eliminated one of your biggest costs so it'll be easier to save for injectors and a fuel pump!!

Custom tune mate.

250-260 from about 200ish stock, it'll take ALOT to wipe the smile off your face from there

Agreed, its your highest cost and the heart of your mods which you NEED to do but it might blow the budget out?

Well a CV flash tuner is $505 (inc postage to perth) and a tune is $600+(??)

So your options are:

Looks- Nice stage1 PW FMIC will make people look twice AND it'll help in summer. But you'll still need edit, tune, injectors, fuel pump, hi flow cat to get the most out of a fast and reliable car :(

Go- Edit and custom tune. The std fmic will handle the power you will get but but you'll still need injectors, fuel pump, hi flow cat, fmic etc. Your new found power WILL wear thin quickly and give it 3 or 4 more weeks you WILL be wanting more. Then you add on a bunch of new stuff and spend more money re-tuning it. Of course its not as much as the initial tune, but in some ways it pays to add all the stuff at once and then get it tuned to suit.

Both are going to cost you the same money (about 2.5-3k if you buy online etc) in the long run
