What I said is correct. We had a dead stock manual XR6T ute and did before and after (within 20 mins) of each other and saw about 28kw atws difference with no tune. And I have repeated this test on 2 other cars since.

I belive that if they injectors can flow enough fuel on a dead stock car then 30wkws isnt that hard to obtain.

One of my IC set ups pulled 28wkws over a cappa cooler/stock piping without any tuning, same day dyno run, but around 5 hours between runs.

Its not uncommon to score 20 or so wkws from a "high flowing" intercooler system... but Im talking piping as well, not just banging on a cooler "bolt on style" and going for it.

My honest reply is dont waste your money on a car cause it will never be fast enough and when you go to sell it, you'll be pissed off at how much you have wasted on a tin can with wheels... That said, I still havent learnt this over the past 4 years so I dunno how you should take that comment!!

Edit and a decent tune® would 110% be the most effective power mod but since you've just spent 40-50K on a car it doesnt make sense to skimp on the "safety mods". Stuff like fmic, injectors, fuel pump that dont actually give you more power (well a fmic may but I'll let others argue that!) but allow's you to "access" decent power AND RELIABILITY.

Sure you gotta save a bit harder (and this is hard trust me!), but if your feeling confident hit cas, lay that G down on black and pray for two good spins :-D

I agree totally with what you said Mat. Obviously with what you spend on a car you more than likely lose. I was only thinking that seeing my front bumper had to come off for a re-spray, why not put on a new cooler? I was told it could give me a about 25kw gain without a re-tune and it was a simple bolt off bolt on procedure. I thought why not and I'd ask the public's opinion. Thanks for the advice and do you have a tip of whether black or red for the cas?
