Guy's I feel sorry for you. Just another example of government not having a clue.

But looking across the borders from Vic it seems that WA only has one interest and that's F@#in football. And I truely believe that is all the sport the government thinks it needs.

Get on your collective high horse and make a noise. The biggest booming state not to have a decent race track is pathetic.

your totally right. This is the boom state with more money than brains and yet cant organise for the V8 supercars to come here. with the amount of people that are into cars over here it is a real shame that the V8's will not be coming this way. It seems as though the tourism WA department is only interested in making heaps of money from day 1, which anyone knows cannot be done. it takes time for an event to get exposure and start making big money. The government is so narrowed minded its rediculous. cant wait for the state election.....

I don't know where certain governments get this idea that they should make money from these events. It's the same over hear with GP which I personally never watch. I could'nt careless how much it costs the tax payer. They are providing entertainment for their constituents.

And lets face it we get sweet F A in return for our tax dollars that you can actually see. And we all know that they don't mind putting their collective snouts in the trough. The money they blow on overseas roughts during the year would more than fund the V8 event.

For some time now, the clowns running the V8 series have wanted to drop the WA round.

This BS about a street race is nothing more than a cheats excuse to back out and lay the blame elsewhere.

This BS about the V8's "out-growning" the venue....... That is cr*p! I've also heard an excuse that crowd numbers have been falling at the Perth round for years, due to this so called "out-growing" issue.

I'd like to see some crowd figures to back that up.

Truth be told, if TEGA/AVESCO, or what ever they are calling themselves this week, wanted to stay in WA, they'd help Barbs become a better track/venue....

You know....... like they have done for several tracks on the East Coast over the years.

Lets face it. V8SA is run by you know who. The only reason they went to Boor-ain was to support the launch of a rebadged Dunnydore pretending to be a Buick. Whilst export is good for our workers V8SA don't give a toss about the real fans.

Money Money Money, it's a rich mans sport.
