that TOOGO guy (cant remeber if that is his screen name) that ran an 11.3 or something with his TT... what happened to him??

As a family member is buying a TT terri, I am keen to know the following

did he reveal his mods?? everyone thought he ran NOS, he said no and said he would reveal his mods evetually...well its been a long time coming

did he or CV ever come clean with his mods?? If so can I get a link as Im curious to see what it had done to run those times.

Spoke to DBOSS about him at WSID on Wednesday.

Seems he smashed his gearbox and disappeared.

That sort of time I think is achievable even without NOS, given mods that are available.... but it always comes back to what can be done with a level of reliability.

I think he is the first person, at a dragstrip, to really hammer the awd tt 6-speed auto, so he can be viewed as a pioneer.... and has paid the price.

It will be more interesting to see if he has the gearbox strengthened and continues the drag racing.

If he does fix the gearbox and continues it be interesting to see how the drivetrain lasts.

He didn't reveal his mods; that's his choice.

Kev from Process West posted pics of the work he had done to the car, plenum, cooler, special top mount intake etc, and all the other mods were very similar to the usual XR mods we all do.

I think the main bit, which doesn't necessarily need to be revealed, is the tuning that CV did to get it making the numbers and launching the way it did - as Brian said, TOGOOO was a pioneer and paid the price for it - I hope he continues though!

Somthing was bound to break, what I wanna know is why he went all quite. I doubt anyone would care and if he spilled the beans on what happened it might help future TT drivers avoid the mistakes. Isn't that why pioneers do what they do?

I am not suprised he did his gearbox as he was running MT's and AWD. The power that TT was putting out it was only a matter of time before it went BANG.

I would also think it ran NOS to get the beast off the line as quick as it did. It should not cheapen the effort though as it was a great effort and hopefully he will continue to develop the car.

A minor breakage in the auto put it off the road and I spose he just decided to leave chasing ETs for now.

Certainly gave us all something to think about...

As we know, a decent intake/plenum/cooler system, exhaust and fuel suply mods is all that's needed to make the late 06 motors produce big (high 300s) power... add in AWD, some awesome tuning allowing the car to leave the line on boost and it will do 11s.

Hopefully the boys get back into it and go faster.
