It is so funny guys every time I pull up at a set of lights the compliments you get from people it is great . and as soon as they see the turbo badge u know it is going to be on .Last night on Parramatta rd a VX SS Late model camira pulled up next (big deal) to me anyway he sat next to me revving the sh*t out of the Expensive Daewoo and stalling it to about 3000 rpm by this stage I knew it was on now for sure ...LIghts go green and being manual and traction control my xr6 turbo took off pretty flat ,quickly I take the traction control off by this time he was a car infront of me get the revs up to 3800rpm on the barra snap the clutch and blaast off the xr from 40km/h went sideways and before I knew I was on his doors the ss revving its tits off by that moment and driver looking at me in a frenzy shift to 2nd and start pulling away like a runnaway train on him. 100km/h I look in my re-view mirror and ive got a car on him , Third gear and the barra is increasing the gap and im sh*tting myself

I back off at 140km that was enough hoping there were no cops around

shift to fifth in stealth mode and on the anchors.the bloke in the ss pulls up next to me at the lights and in stunned amazement says "I heard they went good but not that good " I crack up laughing and take off better slow down im thinking it is double demerits

Exactly CJ

Everyone knows what the Turbo can do.. They can hear the power just cruising...

I prefer to drive mine casually, enjoying the way it sits on the road knowing that any halfwit in a hotted up car knows that if they wanted a piece the only thing they would get is my exhust fumes...

Had an SS yesturday weaving in and out of traffic like an idiot.. gets up to me (in front of course on the freeway) and low and behold he slows it down and sits behind me.... Don't think he could handle the embarrassment that would have followed and that my friends is where the REAL pleasure is...

Even had a VT HSV pull over for me today to the side of a road, let me pass and then come follow me... Must be the black scaring the s&^t out of people while it cruises... :D

Nothing wrong witha bit of fun in the right place.....but 140Km/h on Parramatta Rd sounds a bit risky for a few reasons.

BTW for the Melb guys, there's a black SS that frequents the Eastern Fwy and appears to try to tempt players into gunning it...only problem is it's a COP in steath mode.

I wish him a flat tyre and the ugly new ss

is it wrong to accept his challenge and leave him 3 exits behind?

Just be careful talking about street racing here - especially if you've posted pics of your car with it's number plate.

I don't think you can get busted for bragging. Pics could incriminate you though.

BTW - The FordXT6Turbo Forum does not endorse nor encourage illegal or irresponsible driving.

Yeah I was thinking people may be "targeted" for lack of a better word if any of those boys in blue frequent this board.
