If you are going to do it it's best that you do injectors and fuel pump (if haven't already) cos the cat seem to choke the (rap out of the I6. About the only negative thing with this mod is the nasties that go untreated into the environment....just don't stand around your exhaust lol!!! SHOWDOWN BACK SLOWER THEN EVER! Member 706 Member For: 17y 6m 15d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 18/12/07 09:53 AM Share Posted 18/12/07 09:53 AM Well from memory the cat actually cleans the gases released by the exhaust. Also without the cat you are omitting more deadly gases hence the bad smell. You don't want to be caught in a confined space (aka a garage) with the car running. Also as you increase the amount of fuel supplied to the engine through injector you also increase the unburnt fuel that leaves through the zorst. This could lead to flames out of the tail pipe.... no a good look with highway patrol around.Ozzie

Yeah im used to a car burning Unleaded without a cat. My Mini's exhaust is just a 2in piece of pipe with a tiny stainless muffler. The smell dosnt bother me. Fuel pump..... ooohhh.... that's another amount of $$$$. I mite just leave the cat as is. Cause if need a fuel pump then the power will keep going up and then the 4spd Auto will end up letting go......
