Good write up in the new issue of Top Gear mag, they believe it will be the best handling bum dragger ever. The Ford engineers believe they have overcome any form of torque steer with the Revoknuckle thing they have designed into the suspension. They also believe it can handle more power than 220kw.

Here is a compact that any muscle car lover could appreciate. Developed by

Ford Racing Performance Parts (FRPP), the RS8 was a real show stopper at

the 2003 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA). FRPP transplanted

their new, aluminum-alloy, 420 HP, 5.0-liter 4-valve "Cammer" crate engine

into a Focus RS. However, in order to adopt this new power plant,

the focus had to be converted to a rear-wheel drive platform.

We might be waiting a while for it though.

I read somewhere that FPV would be unlikely to add a gun Focus to it's line-up till local production of the next generation starts at Broadmeadows.

I dont believe Broadmeadows will get to build the XR5, or the soft top.

From memory I was advised they will remain 'imported'..

The rest of the range - 'THE SLUGS' will be aussie...

Dam shame...

Imagine AWD, F6 engine pushing a ST... hehehe Now that would be fun!

(If only there was roof for it)...

In the meantime - got the girly the ST LV XR5, as a warm up/practice car just in case the RS ever comes... (Dont think it will but)...
