Hey Forum :buttrock:

I have noticed that when braking at a speed of more than approx 80km/h, the steering wheel shutters. The faster you go, the more it shutters. I have already put this in as a warranty issue a few months ago (3 times). It was fixed until yesterday afternoon and this morning. It has started doing it again.

I have a 2005 MkII xr6t, 6 speed manual.

What can I do about this problem? Has anyone else had issues like this?

I am getting sick of this bu11sh*t with the brakes on Ford cars.

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Mate,

Ford can't/ wont fix the problem, you will have to upgrade you brakes like many of us have.

This sucks I know but what else can you do.

Great input there mate. How long did it take you to think of that reply?......

Do the thread starter: Do you self a favour and buy a set of RBA slotted rotors and decent pads.

Yes it is, been checked recently and everything is in good order, just started with the slightest of shudder on the last cruise. Now its really pissing me off. I now know what everyone was winging about.

Still I only work a two minute walk from Metro Ford, might whinge to them. Nah that would be a waste of time.

Yeah it is rather annoying, at least with the manuals the onset is a bit later.

Very impressed with Metro Ford  Had a new rear bearing put in the ute yesterday arvo, only 2 hours from my whinging and dropping the vehicle off to it being back on the road. :spoton:
