So in thinking that the current one would get moved to the tissue box area and I was to buy a TFT LCD screen would it be possible to do so ??? Would I need to buy anything special, and what is the size of the screen that comes with the Premo sound ??? I just re read my post......I don't have the premo sound in my sedan. Just the stock standard. I don't want to lose the screen because it shows the air con controls and radio. But I do want to install my carputer I've built without haveing to pay $1000 or more for a new ICC. So I was curious if I moved the current screen...(dodgy lcd) to the tissuebox area, and replaced the ICC facia with a premo sound facia and installed a aftermarket TFT LCD, would there be much hassle ???? Adam Here since the start... Lifetime Members 10,282 Member For: 22y 6d Gender: Male Location: Victoria Posted 12/12/07 07:12 AM Share Posted 12/12/07 07:12 AM I disagree. From what I've seen and been told the wiring for the basic lcd screen is quite simple compared to the color ICC screen. It's been done by a few people. One is a member here and I think he has a blue ute. It's from mrbean_phillip's F6 Tornado project log.Apparently, there are about 30 wires you have to extend. I hope you're ok with a soldering iron. If you attempt it, how about documenting it so the rest of us can benefit?
