Finally got hold of someone at the Insurance company, and all they can do at the moment is issue a claim number. It will be at least 48 hours before someone from the assesment team will be in touch to advise next steps.

Repairs unlikely until late January early Feb earliest. Looks like the smash trade will have a prosperous new year. They must be rubbing their hands in anticipation.

Buffy,

Your car will now go faster and fly straighter.

Golf balls are a great example of this.

Sorry to hear about everyones missfortune, I slept through it and diddnt get any hail in my area.

That sucks Jules :( Hope the panel beaters do a good job.

I live in Baulkham Hills, and while I missed the storm proper (was chasing the tail of the storm from Silverwater Rd) my brothers Falcon was outside in it ... not a dent!

on the bright side there may be a few cheap cars on the market as most of the car yards in blacktown got hit hard.

A car dealer from Sunnyholt road in Blacktown rang me today. I asked how they fared yesterday, and he said almost every car in the yard has major damage. They also have a holding yard with 1000 cars that was badly hit.

Maybe I'll get that car I was looking at a lot cheaper.

Word on the street is Vicky advised you not to drive out into that storm from Winston Hills shops.... now every time you don't agree with her you'll get the line "remember when you drove into that storm".

Listening to that line could turn out to be more painful than the hail damage.

fyi with sons car has about 30 hail dents, as does the girl next door that has a brand new Corolla.
