Goose> Sorry I got the story wrong - your "mate" on Fordforums posted that is was parked - I'm glad you've come on and cleared it up and also that you're car will survive - and you as well. I was certainly not putting an attack on you personally but simply commenting on the circumstances of the incident as it was reported.

Glad to here the damage was less than we were led to believe Goose. Hopefully you'll be back in the drivers seat soon.

Hearing some of the incorrect stories about your accident prompted my earlier post but to be honest, I was concerned at the image problem XR6 T's could face for a long while now. Let's hope none of us are turned away from this great driving experience because of insurers.

I know it won't make you feel better but somewhere in a pub, some guy is trying to convince his mates that it really was an XR6 T that hit him....

Stay safe and have a good Christmas.

Hi Goose,

Good to hear your OK and the car is a relatively easy repair.

Clown may have been a bit strong. l just dont want the XR6T to develop a negative image in the same way the Rex has over the past 5 years. l guess what you did is something we all have come close to doing before (l know l have), you were just unlucky enough to actually hit the car in front.

l hope you're baby is fixed soon and back on the road, geez it must be barely run in?

Have a good xmas, l guess you will be getting around on a bike :o
