I also have a cerrametallic Xtreme clutch - they are sh*t for the street - the first one I had welded itself to the flywheel and pressure plate - not happy, considering it happened when I was running stock boost level! I sent it back to ACS and they replaced the pressure plate, machined the flywheel and replaced the material - that I had to pay for.

This is what the clutch plate looked like

Hmm. so I guess the Mal Wood option 2 is for me then.

It was slipping on the 8psi tune as well in 6th so I'm certainly going to need a new clutch next month.. I use the car to visit clients and need it to work so I'll go back to stock for a while and get the clutch done later. Bloody ford and their sh*tty clutches!!

im running the 10psi generic and haven't had clutch drama's at all with the t56 stock clutch.

not good news that it is buggered. it would probably be ok on the 8psi, not sure how fast you would need to be going to load it up in 6th!

another option is the wog twin plate at around the same price as the option 3.

Adrian6t uses a mal wood option 1 and is very happy with it iirc.

Yeah I think I'll go option 2, it's not like I'm going to go doing this car up or tracking it. It's a daily driver for work, just an entertaining one.

ship if you are loading it up in 6th no wondering it slipped!!!

Mine was slipping in 1st the week before I changed :roflmbo:

Well.. you have to check these things :D

Yeah I think I got about 3 days of running at 10psi before it slipped.

Went brilliantly though.. I'll enjoy it when I get the new clutch in.

Bit of a bugger though, Ford's cars have always stood up very well to mods in the past.

Now my new tyres will have to wait that little bit longer.

Mate its luck of the draw, mine is fine with 255 rwkw, unsure about how much tourque, been great for about 4 mounths. If you have already modded so soon, then its a garantee that you will mod more in the future. My advice, drop it to stock save some coin and do your clutch properly (Option three, or equivelent).

Mal Wood does excellent work, but there are also other options, I was Pmed an option the other day from a non sponsor, if you are interested I will Pm you. Like I said Mal have never to my knowledge had a complaint and they appear to deliver everything they say they will so the last part is just about providing you an option should you require it.
