I don't understand how people suddenly loose traction and crash, I'm only 19 and I'm running my car around everyday with 340 at the rubber and I only 'loose traction' when I sink in the boot not just randomly, and common sense tells you not to even slightly touch the accelerator in the wet.. :\

Get Bionic blue, I love that color and I'm jealous my bro has it :P

I cant agree with u more silhoutte6t, im only 19 about to buy a T. Lets just say I learnt all about rear wheel drives in the wet after this. Drivings dads VS commo in the wet id only had my licence 4 8 months, sh*t $90 tires, not an experienced rear wheel driver, touched the pedal lightly goin round a corner, only to find myself goin down the road doin a 360 into a 180 and facing oncomming traffic. after sittin in the middle of the road 4 a few seconds thinkin, WTF just happened there I thought I better move, trying to peel my hands off the steering wheel was another thing. Bf did exactly the same thing, on exactly the same corner, in exactly the same car...why, well I put it down to 1. SH*T tires, no tread (death wish) and 2. we werent experienced, I thought it wood b exactly the same as driving in my 1st car only faster, a lil 1.2L mazda, didnt think about it being a rear wheel drive and the roads bein wet. So yes liek many of u that have had scares in the wet, I now drive like a nanna, I get tooted and abused but I dun care, as long as I get home safe an get passengers home safe.

And to Laner, I feel 4 u big time m8, hope it hasnt put u off gettin another T or if not a ford at least.

Good luck with the choice of the new car

dont get cocky there buddy, I'm 31 and have probably done 4 times more stupid stuff on the roads than you've even thought of, when it goes pear shaped, you'll be left feeling like a completely useless pile of sh*t, there aint much you can do when conditions are against you, as for common sense, no person goes through life without having a brain fade at some stage, common sense told me I was totally in control of a vehicle in exactly the same situation I've been in thousands of times, how different the result.......

Yeah going great! Heading to the strip on the 16th! Had a play with an BMW M6 Coupe today. 5lt V10 370kw 7spd... he got it sideways infront of me pulling onto Kingsford Smith Drive from the Gateway. It sounded great, but I managed to stay pretty damn close to his tail.

Mate I am 32 and have drivien for the army and did personal protection driving for 3 years (so I did heaps of performance driving training for this) but one year I was driving back to Brisbane from Bundy for ANZAC day in the wet and I came of the gateway at 11pm at night. The area is just after the boondal on ramp southbound, the road curves to the left, a pretty long eazy sweep with dips/low spots in it right on the bend, I was only doing 70-80kph when I hit these dips that fill with water. The car's ass dident follow the front around the turn so as soon as I hit the other side of the dip the rears bit in, but only after I had gorn a little side ways, and I just drove of the side of the road, spun 2 times on the grass and stopped 50m along, facing the same way. When I called the cops to let them know what happened, they knew exactly where I went of, as a lot of people go of there. I went back the next day to find some of my tools that flew out of the boot in the accident and you could see 5 sets of skid marks in the same area. I dident hit the brakes or swerve, it all happened in a pooftenth of a second and was out of my control. So it just goes to show that even with training and about 10 years of driving behind me it can happen to any one.
