Egauges.com Are They Suspect?

I just order some defi gauges from egauges.com got the conformation email and thought all was well.

however I've just got another email asking that I send further information becasue they can't process internation credit cards.

email reads

"Thank you for your order. For International orders, unfortunately, our computer system does not verify the address and identity of the card holder. We require the following information before shipment:

1) Front of credit card.

2) Proof of identification, such as driver's license, passport, etc. (must include photo)

3) Credit card billing address, if it was not included in your order.

4) A legible signature.

Please fax the above information to 517-625-1889 or email to shipping@egauges.com. Please include your order number with your fax or email.

We apologize for any difficulties this may cause. We hope the automatic verification of international credit card information becomes available in the near future, since the need for the above documentation inconveniences both our customers and our business. It is however, a necessary precaution for both customer and merchant."

has any one else bought gauges from these guys cos this just seems way to suspect

This is not unusual, but I would find another way to pay them.

Identity theft is a big deal and that info can easly be used to steal your identity.

While egauges.com is a good company, you still cannot trust them with that info.

This is legit , I have had the same thing from Autolamps in the UK.. Who is the company organising the credit card payment?? Just send Egauges.com an email from their website and wait for a reply.

That very SUS, asking for all that I think, a signiture? that's what makes if most sus to me but I may be wrong.

I've had to do it a couple of times to buy parts from Over sease before. Never had a drama. If somebody wants to steal your identity they will get it either way. do egauges accept paypal?

I've sent them an email about paypal but I don't think they do as its not listed on there approved card thing, but then visa is and they don't accept that either so I guess I'll wait until they reply and go from there.

Hey mate I brought my gauges from egauges over a year ago and have done what they are asking you to do.

I had no problems with them, they sent a tracking id number and I the gauges arrived 4 days later.

I was very happy with their service.

that's what I wanted to hear, I'll see what they say about pay pal but I feel alot of confident in them if others have delt with them
