does it axle tramp on acceleration, or only when you rev dump the thing?

The cars and their suspension set-up is based on grip, not being able to do big powerskids and burnouts...

mine does it just by acellerating expecially on wet roads the higher the revs the harder it bounces. I don't drop the clutch in my car there is no point I want the traction to go faster, it just is annoying if you line up a corner and mash the accellerator a 1/3 of the way through the corner and the rear lights up and almost instantly starts to tramp. I absolutly hate the tramp it has made a car I have always wanted to something I feel like getting rid of

maybe I will sell it once the evo 10 arrives

I have had a look under the car and noticed there is only about 10mm between the bump stop and the lower suspension arm has anyone cut their bump stop down by 10 or so mm to see if it fixes the axle tramp problem

looks like the car could squat a fair bit before the tyres rub. maybe this is the problem the bump stop is making it bounce? Can we by replacement bump stops for cheap would be willing to cut mine down to try it if replacements were easy to get hold of. Suggestions?

I have this problem... and have broken a right side CV by doing an underpowered burnout, during which I poured on the power to eliminate the tramp by increasing wheelspin - but this just increased tramp so much it blew the CV!! (all within a split second) first and last time ill ever do that dont u worry - ive never experienced this before in any car. This is with new Eagle F1 tyres on, in the dry.

it does still axle tramp in the wet too.

I found the best remedy is to MAKE SURE U GIVE IT THE BEES at initial wheel spin... I.e. dump clutch at 6 grand.... even dump it in second gear (the clutch handles this on my car no worries).

still such an annoying thing... like Silk Rspec it is a thorn in the side of my dream car! burnouts/wheelspin should be such a simple, easy thing in a muscle car!!

My axle tramp is pretty much gone now happens once in a blue moon and that is with the stock almost ready to change dunlops on it.

I did the following and it seems to have fixed itself.

Bilstein shocks,

king springs,

sway bars,

cut lower bump off bump stop

power upgraded to 330+rwkw

the power upgrade seems be the biggest thing that fixed the problem. hard to know though without pulling all the suspension out and trying it with same power.

only seems to axle tramp now when tyres have got really hot and are starting to get sticky from to much heat in them. E.g. just after it has been on the dyno and then on the track.

It's not just R Spec that do it. My BF11 does it regularly in the wet, at all sorts of revs.

Keep us informed with the fix.
