ok pretty pissed off right now.

went shopping last night with my girlfriend at karrinyup and after driving round the car park for 25minutes found a shop in a well lit area 50m from the doors. went in at about 7:50 came back about 9:05 to hear as I opened my door "oh babe your windows smashed"

there was glass EVERYWHERE through the car. some, if you don't mind my french, F*cker smashed my passenger side window with a crow bar or some object, pushed the whole window in and opened my glove box and my centre console and stole my set of $20 aviators and tinted safety glasses and worst of all my radar detector that was a present from my girlfriends mum only a couple of months ago. left my cd's and $5 of change.

took me a good 30 minutes to clean enough glas off the drivers seat for me to drive it home and we spent a good hour n a half this morning cleaning it as best we could. insurance are being bastards and aren't happy that we already organised to get the window and panel they dented replaced because it isn't their prefered repairer but our argument is the car isn't safe with no window as it is. also they claimed that even though they cover $1000 worth of contents they won't cover what got stolen as nothing was on the insurance as accessories of the car. also I doubt they'll cover geting it retinted as they are tight pricks and I don't think the tint was listed.

more of an ass around that I have to get it replaced today and I'm a little worried water may have got inside the car after I left it at ford.

so I'm a days worth of leave from work, $350 and a hell of alot of anger out of pocket.

first thing I do when I get my government incentive for being an apprentice is get an alarm with loud loud sirens inside so it deafens these theiving bastards.

wheres the respect for another mans car that he's put so much effort into it being the way it is?

did they dent a panel too?

you'll be finding glass in it forever, happened to my last car..

shouldn't rain up there too much, best of luck with it!

my first car (ford maverick) had a crash before I'd bought it and for the year I had the car I found glass evrytime I opened a panel, lifted a seat, moved something. I am not a happy camper that's for sure.

they dented the black metal lining under the window but didn't dent the door luckily... although if they had of I wouldn't of minded as insurance would of been paying for a respray.

looks like they used a crow bar or trolley pole and smashed down on it then pushed it in and leaned in, grabbed the radar detector, opened the glove box and centre console. claiming they stole my locknut socket as I can't find it anywhere and I keep it in my glovebox. although that could of been misplaced I'm not sure.

anyway car will need to be retinted and depending on how dark the bolle tint is maybe I can get some free sunnies to replace the ones that got stolen.

definately getting an alarm fitted within the next month with a screamer under the dash so IF anyone tries this sh*t again they'll have permanent hearing damage.

Did you have it alarmed? Shouldn't that of gone off. Worst thing is that somone would off seen it but done nothing. At least they left ya cd's, when my last car got broken into they took everything from the headunit to melways :gunsfiring:

"You don't f*ck with another mans automobile... It would have been worth them doin it, just to catch them doin it." - Vincent Vega - Pulp Fiction

Having said that... my mate made an absolute mess of some bloke he found stealing his CD player in the car park one day. There was a small issue when the junkie got his head slamed in the car door. They had to take the junkie to the hospital and my mate got done for assult! Criminal record time...

Having said that.... they would be doing me for murder if I caught them!!

I said that exact quote to my girlfriend when we got home!

it was in a well lit area only 50m from the doors and there were some more nice cars around, glad no-one else's stuff got damaged aswell, that would of sucked coming back to like 5-6 cars with smashed windows and stolen stuff.

cheers for the support guys
