Very True, One thing is the ZF is very smooth compare to the 4 speed

yeah definately a much more refined and smarter box and I would assume you would get better fuel economy with the extra gears aswell.

Yeah the 6 speed would give a better spread of torque while your in gear and driving along but from experience I know turbos like load and a 4 speed auto configuration will give the turbo load...

When I had my 5 speed VL turbo I changed my diff ratio to 3"9 from 3"45...in a naturally aspirated car this would make quite a difference in aceleration but in the turbo it meant my first gear revved out so quickly the turbo didnt have time reach boost... I would seriously get no boost out of first gear...

My point is that turbos need longer gears in order for the turbo to really get cracking...

So from standing start you might find that the 4 speed down the quarter might be quicker but in gear driving the 6 speed should offer better availability of power...

I managed 14.4 in a stock BF Manual Sedan, then 13.80 in a stock BF2 auto sedan....the auto made a lot of difference.

Are all your times utes? or are there other sedans in the 13's stock.

(I did mine at Heathcote on a hot day)
